Who I am, and why I'm here.
I'm currently an undergraduate student at the University of California, Riverside, majoring in Psychology and Sociology.
I came from a rather unconventional background. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, I was homeschooled for the first 14 years of my life, then attended an international boarding school in the U.K. As an under-socialized teenager, I encountered devastating struggles in interpersonal relationship and academic competence. Feeling no sense of purpose, I returned to Taiwan after graduation and sank into an abyss of hedonic lifestyle
Fortunately, my career at a consulting firm in Taiwan created a healthy meaning system and ignited my passion for psychology, which is why I started my college journey in the United States. Since then, I've been constantly struck by epiphanies about how topics psychology, sociology, and philosophy are connected with our daily life experiences.
Thus, I hope this space creates a portal of insightful discoveries that inspire a sense of awareness toward those disciplines.
